The MAEMUKI SPRING 2024 collection takes us to the next level of the DOMINNICO community. The influences of Japanese culture and the inspiration of urban tribes such as the Gyaru and the Sweet Lolitas are used by Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro, the label’s creative director, to once again address his creative universe from a diverse, free viewpoint in which different trends, such as Steam Punk, the Metaverse, craftsmanship and upcycling coexist with the digital era, the Kawaii aesthetic, and the sweet colour schemes that are so typical of the label.
A set of powers is established, a provocative play between naivity and hardness, collecting emblematic pieces from the previous collections and introducing others in which the elements of classic lingerie, such as pleats, ruffles, ribbons and lace coexist with others more typical of BDSM, such as harnesses, vinyl, heart-shaped buckles and metal appliqués and trimmings.
The main materials of the proposal are recycled denim, leather and fur, along with lycra. In terms of colour, DOMINNICO uses milky tones, white, and silver.
DOMINNICO is a genderless ready-to-wear brand founded in 2016 in Barcelona by its creative director, Domingo Rodríguez Lázaro (Alicante, 1994). The brand, which works under the concept of slow fashion, is characterised by meticulous pattern-making, research into new fabrics and materials, sustainability in processes and a futuristic vision of fashion in which the values of inclusion and freedom are the common thread of all its collections.
