Olga Menchén studied at the Barcelona School of Fashion Arts and Techniques. After finishing her studies, she worked as a designer for theatre, cinema and television.
In 1995, she founded MENCHÉN TOMÀS.
MENCHÉN TOMÀS designs, produces and sews her own Prêt-à-Porter, Party and Bride collections. She also makes exclusive bespoke haute couture and bride designs. Moreover, all collection models can be made to measure.
The entire production process is carried out in Spain through continuous monitoring of each and every stage, in order to achieve maximum control of the final product quality.
Between 1995 and 2001, MENCHÉN TOMÀS presented its collections at the Salón Gaudí catwalk. Since 2013, it has been presenting its collections at the 080 Barcelona Fashion and since 2015 at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid.
The MENCHÉN TOMÀS collections are distributed through its own network of stores in Barcelona, Seville and Zaragoza, as well as through the wholesale sale to multi-brand stores both in Spain and abroad (France, Italy, Belgium, Canada, United States, China, Australia, etc.).
MENCHÉN TOMÀS belongs to the Spanish Fashion Designers Association (ACME).
Carrer de Sant Antoni Maria Claret, 167
This dream is inspired by the sunset, when lawyers, brokers and clerks have abandoned the streets, the day begins to lose its natural light and night lights begin to appear. This dream is inspired by the Manhattan of the 70s, the decade of disco, decadence, drugs, pornography, gay pride, Studio 54... millionaires, hobos, artists, DJs, hustlers, prostitutes... a fusion of classes, cultures, races, backgrounds... people walking down the street into a night that is beginning and has no clear end.
Flared trousers, structured jackets, short dresses with volume... never-ending collars, feathers, bias cuts and lace trim, embroidery.
Intense colours, impossible combinations: pistachio green with fuchsia, pink with purple, glitter, sequins and, of course, black and white.
Fabrics made by craftsmen, embroidered by hand, unique prints...
Processes carried out in close proximity with attention to detail and respect for the medium.
Timeless, reusable garments. Forever.
