Alicia Jiménez Barreto (Alicante, 2001) is a fashion designer, stylist, and creative director of O’Barret, an independent creative project based in Milan that explores the dialogue between fashion, art, objects, and visual storytelling. She studied Fashion Design at IADE in Madrid and holds a Master’s degree in Fashion Design from NABA, Milan. She expanded her professional experience by working in New York before settling in Milan, where she currently develops her creative practice.
Her work stems from memory, identity, and nostalgia. Her Andalusian and Colombian roots, together with her own experiences and memories, become creative material for building a personal language in which tradition coexists with experimentation. Through garments, materials, and objects, the designer transforms elements from her personal imaginary into proposals that seek to preserve, reinterpret, and give new form to memory.
For the designer, creating goes beyond conceiving garments: it means building an imaginary world. For this reason, O’Barret’s projects extend beyond clothing and incorporate disciplines such as ceramics, sculpture, and art direction, expanding each collection into a narrative of its own.
The name O’Barret comes from a reinterpretation of her second surname, Barreto, and represents her desire to transform a personal story into a contemporary and independent label.
