Grava
“Art is the method of levitation,” wrote Anaïs Nin. Decades earlier, Yves Klein, in Surmounting the Problems of Art (1959), imagined the human being freed from earthly gravity, suspended in a state of absolute physical and spiritual freedom.
Grava is that force which pulls us toward the ground: inherited concepts, the established order, that which binds us and prevents us from questioning our relationship with nature and the origin of our conflicts. With the Grava 2026 collection, Rubearth proposes penetrating known reality to uninhibit ourselves, break structures, and transcend into new states of consciousness. A journey of nihilistic evasion, a petite mort that allows us to be reborn and to design from a new beginning.
The construction stems from a search for classic patterns and curved forms intrinsic to the brand’s identity, building each garment through volume and the reinterpretation of traditional Japanese clothing. We advocate for comfort and for an aesthetic detached from gender clichés, with adaptable patterns designed to fit all body types. We understand fashion as a vehicle for creative expression and a critical reflection of our time.
This collection features collaborations with electronic artist Mónica Rikić; illustrator Mercedes Bellido, in graphic-concept development; textile illustrator Andrea Carandini, in the creation of prints; Otti Hats, for accessories; and Simbolic, with handcrafted jewelry pieces.
Grava is not just a collection: it is an invitation to dream.
Atmosphere
Gabriel Nogueiras has redefined contemporary menswear through Rubearth, a Spanish slow fashion brand founded in 2020. His creative universe merges art, design, and new technologies, placing sustainability and Spanish craftsmanship at its core. Twice awarded the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent and recognized with the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion Award, Rubearth promotes a timeless aesthetic that challenges the fleeting nature of trends.
His approach transforms high-quality materials into innovative pieces where creativity, technological multifunctionality, and circularity converge. Inspired by the memory of materials and the evolution of the environment, he explores the relationship between identity, consumption, and quality, proposing a fashion that transcends aesthetics to become a cultural discourse.
Rubearth reinterprets Central European college-preppy normcore aesthetics through a sensibility shaped by Latin American heritage: color, surrealism, and a playful dimension that emotionally connects with the wearer. Each collection is conceived as a narrative that blurs the boundaries between art and fashion.
Currently, Gabriel is researching the integration of robotics and garments, developing intelligent systems that allow reactive pieces in constant transformation. In collaboration with Mónica Rikić, recipient of the Catalonia National Culture Award, he creates customizable designs that combine textiles and artisanal robotics, generating immersive experiences where the dreamlike becomes tangible.
