CUSTO BARCELONA

Custo Barcelona was born at the beginning of the 80s by the Dalmau brothers, Custo and David, after a long journey around the world where they discovered not only new landscapes but also the widest variety of artistic, cultural and philosophical statements. One of the things that surprised them the most was California fashion style: from SouthCal surfers outfits to the psychedelic look in NorthCal. They were impressed by the innovative and colourful Californian fashion, especially the t-shirts style, that didn’t exist in Spain at that time.

Using this trip as a starting point, the brand was launched under the name of Custo Line. While working on their label, the Dalmau brothers learned everything about printing techniques and their finishes, with particular emphasis on graphic design, with which they felt great kinship. Over time, their colours and patterns research became innovation, audaciousness and sophistication. 

Their printed t-shirts were Custo Barcelona core DNA. At a later stage, they included other items to their collections such as skirts, trousers and coats. Currently, Custo Barcelona is a style itself, going further than fashion: it is a complete lifestyle.
