The Number is the name of the new Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collection by Adolfo Domínguez SA.

A collection that returns to the brand’s origins, seeking to revisit and transform the past through experimentation.

Adolfo Domínguez’s classic tailoring is now for everyone. The collection features tailored jackets with pronounced shoulder pads and dropped armholes. Jackets that are fitted using invisible elastic bands. Wires and rods placed along the edges of garments as a challenge to gravity. Through this interplay, hybrid pieces also emerge: shirts that aspire to be sweaters, ballet flats that are sneakers, and skirts designed with the intention of trousers.

The collection’s inspiration arises in the atelier. The tools used—rulers, measuring tapes, and set squares—are transformed into graphics and prints.

The narrative includes a tree, the magnolia, Adolfo’s favorite. Its image appears in a photographic print that feels almost real. The petals of its flower capture the fleeting beauty of the moment.

The Number has a voice; it is the secret architecture of each garment—the measurement, the pattern, the shape that unites idea and matter.

This collection also conceals a reflection on the brand’s history. It celebrates the number 50 within its garments and hides symbols that honor what Adolfo Domínguez is and has been.

Adolfo Domínguez Fernández is a proprietary director and the main shareholder of Adolfo Domínguez SA, holding 31.5% of the share capital. President of the Adolfo Domínguez Group from 1992 to 2020, he is the most awarded Galician fashion designer: recipient of the National Fashion Award (Ministry of Culture, 2019), the Golden Needle Award (Ministry of Culture, 1997), and the Lifetime Achievement Award (Miami Fashion Week), among other distinctions.

An entrepreneur, intellectual, fashion designer, and writer, he has devoted his professional life to developing, from Galicia, an internationally projected fashion business group. Under his leadership, the company became the first Spanish fashion company to open stores outside Spain (1980), the first to launch its own fragrance (Agua Fresca, 1990), and also a pioneer and long-standing listed company on the stock exchange (publicly traded since 1997).

After promoting a generational transition to his three daughters, he currently supports the company’s transformation into a new era from the board of directors, led by his eldest daughter, Adriana Domínguez, as Executive Chairwoman of the company.

In 1974, his father (of the same name) founded Adolfo Domínguez e Hijos SL, which he transformed in 1976 into Adolfo Domínguez SA, the origin of the current company. In 1984, during a period of strong international expansion, he launched the brand’s most famous slogan: “Wrinkles are beautiful.”
