THE WRITTEN RUNWAY

080_REBORN draws inspiration from literature and becomes an aesthetic journey, where Victorian Gothic meets modern rebellion. As in pages filled with beauty and introspection, dark silhouettes steeped in mystery engage in dialogue with gestures of present-day non-conformity, thus creating a powerful contrast between tradition and transgression. Daring dandyism with drama, the exploration of time, identity and introspection gives rise to fluid and ethereal fashion, which is reinvented through second-hand garments transformed into unique creations. Each look tells stories of the past, but at the same time casts new ways of being and living in the present.

In the second part, literary inspiration delves into the vibrant universe of the 1960s. The luxury and mystery of high society are evoked, although translated into a language of sustainability and awareness. The lavish mingles with the imperfect, the elitist undergoes democratisation and heritage becomes a canvas open to experimentation. Finally, the fashion show is enlightened by the power of the intellectual fashion of that decade, featuring carefree elegance and a bohemian air. An era that inspires freedom, critical thinking and an artistic spirit that continues to have an impact on the way we reinterpret second-hand clothing at present.

    In 2025, the fourth edition of 080 Reborn arrives, a proposal that brings together creativity and sustainability. The collection, shaped by the stylistic vision of Fermín + Gilles, has been crafted from recovered garments, giving a second life to materials sourced from textile waste and second-hand shops. Fashion with value: rethinking consumption, extending the life of clothing, and reducing its environmental impact. Unique pieces, designed to be lived in many times and by many people. A fashion that renews itself and endures.

    Girbau LAB

    Girbau LAB is the space for collaborative innovation of Girbau, a global leading brand of laundry and textile care solutions.

    Girbau LAB identifies the most relevant and innovative environments worldwide to gather, create and jointly develop initiatives, ideas, solutions and technologies that contribute to the transformation of the industry, adding value to society.

    Since its inception, Girbau LAB has worked with 080 Reborn to boost the textile industry towards circularity, to promote a change in the way we consume resources and to highlight their role in the treatment of textiles to extend their life and usefulness.

    L’Agència de Residus de Catalunya (ARC)

    The ARC is a public entity with jurisdiction over the waste generated and managed in Catalonia. In order to improve the quality of life of the citizens of Catalonia and protect the environment, the ARC promotes prevention, selective collection and recovery of waste. Reuse of any object prevents it from becoming waste, at the same time as it slows down new products manufacture. Within textiles circularity, the ARC promotes the use of second-hand clothing.

    Pact for Circular Fashion

    Signed in May 2022, the Pact is a voluntary commitment between institutions and companies of the textile value chain in Catalonia facilitating incorporation of circularity measures, promotion of collaborative projects and improvement of competitiveness of the sector.
