Miguel Becer was born in Cáceres on January 4, 1985, and when he was only 7 years old he began studying music at the Conservatory of Music, choosing the piano as his instrument and specialty.
At the age of 19 and after graduating with excellent grades in high school and music, he moved to Madrid to start economics at the University Rey Juan Carlos I, studies that he will combine with fashion at the School of Art No. 2 where he will graduate as a finalist of the Aurelio Blanco scholarship of the Community of Madrid.
After collaborating with important Spanish fashion brands such as Amaya Arzuaga, he will work in the design team of Angel Schlesser and will collaborate as Senior Designer in Bimba y Lola.
During those years MANÉMANÉ was born as a choral project of which Miguel is the creative director with the aim of creating an ideal of personal and original beauty. After six collections, MANÉMANÉ wins the first Who’s On Next award from Vogue magazine and Miguel Becer is named best young designer of 2015.
Currently, Miguel Becer combines the management of MANÉMANÉ with different editorial work and is a professor of Projects at the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
The brand, led by Miguel, is deployed in multi-brand stores around the world as Opening Ceremony or Dover Street Market NY and is consolidated as the ideal clothing for international celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian or Dua Lipa.
The creative line offered by Miguel Becer in MANÉMANÉ is manifested by a dialogue between tradition and modernity, a new way of understanding the gender or personal character of the garments and a universe that flees from formalisms or established trends. An author’s fashion that maintains a pulse between conformity and personality.
