JUAN VIDAL

ME QUIERE, NO ME QUIERE

Plucking the petals of a daisy is a playful way to surrender decisions to chance, peeling away, petal by petal, the vulnerability that exposes our insecurities.

He loves me, he loves me not. This collection explores identity and duality—deep and poetic—reminding us that despite our inner light, there is always a corner of shadows that drives us to seek certainty in the ephemeral, to yearn for connection, and to transform doubt into something tangible and beautiful.

That is why insecurity, vulnerability, duality, and indecision become catalysts for creativity. This collection finds harmony through contrasts, reflections, and lightness—offering relief to the eternal questions: Who am I? How do I feel?

He loves me, or he loves me not—it doesn’t matter. It reminds us that not every question has a right answer.

Stamens and petals, woodcuts of a bare flower, washed silk satin, and gabardine serve as the starting point for a journey between the linear and the wavy, the rigid and the fluid, the matte and the glossy, the masculine and the feminine.

He loves me, he loves me not. It caresses indecision and embraces it with a positive perspective—as an opportunity to peel away layers of ego in an oversaturated and bewildering society.

The perfection of technique, the sensitive study of feminine strength, and the exploration of seduction are the defining constants of Juan Vidal’s work.

He began his artistic studies at the University of Fine Arts in Barcelona and later pursued design at the Felicidad Duce School of Design. Before completing his studies, he won the FAD Barcelona award with his debut collection. Since then, he has presented his collections on both national and international runways under the eponymous brand.

His collections are deeply influenced by his artistic background, reflected in his use of color, conceptualization, and volume. His work is shaped by the study of classical, iconographic, and artistic references, alongside a relentless pursuit of technical perfection down to the finest detail—a legacy drawn from his family tradition.

In recent years, Juan Vidal has received numerous awards recognizing his work as a creative director, including the Who’s On Next award granted by Vogue, the Telva award for Best National Designer, and the National Fashion Award from the Spanish Ministry of Industry.

Currently, Juan Vidal combines his role as creative director of his namesake brand with teaching at the Higher Center for Design at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and at IED Barcelona, where he serves as the Director of Fashion Projects.

BRAND CONCEPT

Desire, sophistication, love—but above all, desire.

Irrational emotions as a driving force of inspiration. Passion, obsession, conceptualization, and cultural references form the core that makes design compelling.

Emotional states that shape our actions and creativity in an impulsive and deeply human way are transformed into dresses that evoke diverse feelings. Each piece becomes the start of a new adventure—one that speaks of autonomy and independence. A vision of feminine fashion that
fosters self-love.

Self-esteem and confidence are conveyed through collections that go beyond fleeting trends and rules, striving instead to create a project that serves as a creative vehicle for various artistic disciplines. Here, eclecticism and beauty become the foundation for a woman without age or origin—one who sees clothing as a form of self-expression.

In the contemporary world, seduction is conveyed through direct messages—like a dress.

Juan Vidal was born to share emotions, to provoke desire.
