AAA STUDIO

BURdeNOUT

The collection is designed for the F/W 2025-26 season. Long and cozy pieces predominate, although some shorter garments inspired by underwear will also be included. Several accessories will also be presented: caps, mittens, leg warmers, 3D-printed glasses, among others.

‘BURdeNOUT’ represents the feeling shared by Generation Z when facing adulthood. We have gone from a no-worries childhood to having to sustain an adult life that we often do not desire. We have been taught to prioritize material things and career paths over vocation. We feel burned out from not knowing how to handle it and have the sensation that everything is too overwhelming for us. Despite this, we take everything that feels too big and try to adjust it to our supposed possibilities.

The inspiration behind the name of the collection comes from a mix of a song called Like a Tattoo by Sade. In it, she repeatedly says the word “burden” referring to the feeling of not being able to go on. The other word that makes up the name is the well-known “burnout,” which means being exhausted, drained, unable to endure a situation any longer. This name perfectly sums up the feeling of doing things out of inertia, without finding joy or motivation, yet still doing them.

The collection will mainly consist of multi-wearable and adjustable pieces. Those that are not will be available in different sizes, adapting to customers’ needs.

We want to convey the feeling of exhaustion through loose garments with rounder volumes, creating silhouettes that resemble hunched backs. Some long trousers include pleats that simulate bent knees, and in general, we will opt for comfortable and wide shapes. At the same time, we want to show how we “cover up” this exhaustion with pieces that give the appearance of being well-dressed or maintaining a “put-together” look.

I’m Arnau Climent, I’m 23 years old, and I’m the creative director of AAA Studio. I was born and raised in Montcada i Reixac, a town on the outskirts of Barcelona, where I developed a strong passion for fashion and creativity from a young age. This interest led me to study custom tailoring at ESDi University in 2019, a first step that opened the doors to the industry. During my training, I had the opportunity to intern at Rosa Clará and embark on personal projects, designing costumes for drag queens and theater productions.

Eager to continue exploring and evolving, I pursued a Master’s in Fashion Design at LCI, where I won a scholarship that allowed me to have a space in a showroom. This experience was crucial in expanding my vision of the industry and building essential connections in the fashion world.

So far, I have created three collections. The first, Deadline, was my final master’s project at LCI: a performative and conceptual proposal with no commercial intent. The next two collections took a more commercial direction, designed for everyday wear. In January 2024, I launched my second collection,  Constricted Times, after its presentation, led me to a period of uncertainty about the brand’s future. I even considered abandoning it.

But instead of giving up, I decided to take a risk and explore a completely different approach: working with knit fabrics and designing much more basic and casual pieces while maintaining the brand’s essence through unique volumes and details. This is how the third collection, ABC Collection was born—a project I launched with no great expectations but that was ultimately met with an overwhelmingly positive reception. Both the public and the press highly praised the result, consolidating a new path for AAA Studio.
