Grenadine red, navy blue or grey are some of the colors of this autumn according to Pantone, the worldwide reference in color that analyses both New York and London runways to establish de color trends of each season, beyond the color of the year. If there’s something to highlight of this fall season is the presence of bright and bold colors, that contrast with the classic darker hues of winter and introduce some light and optimism to our autumn wardrobe.

The 080 Barcelona Fashion designers have taken note and join the global color trends by using rich colors like grenadine. A bright tone that was of the main trends on the Catalan catwalk as many designers and brands introduced it in their collections: from Custo Barcelona to Naulover along with Wom&Now.

Also trendy this season is the dark Blue Peony, an elegant color that we saw in Daniel Rosa’s line, for which he won the 080 Award to Emerging Design last February. Alongside him, established names of the 080 like Txell Miras and Josep Abril also use navy blue while on an international level, the maison Dior stands out as its new creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri presented almost the whole collection in blue and made it the color of the season.
.

Another color seen on the New York runway is Pantone 19-1725 known as Tawny Port and that reminds us of bordeaux. It’s an earthy tone similar to marsala, Pantone color of the year in 2015. As for the new Tawny Port, Escorpion, Josep Abril and Aubergin were some of the brands and designers that introduced it in their fall collections.
.
Moreover, we find Autumn Maple as yet another of Pantone colors for this autumn season. It’s an orange-like hue, not bright but subdued, that brings warmth to the collections of Lebor Gabala, Torras and Yerse.

Alongside it, another singular color of the season is called Shaded Spruce, a rich forest green that calls for serenity. On the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway we saw it in different versions: from the opulece of Pablo Erroz’s fur to the casual sexiness of Custo Barcelona

To end up this recap on color trends for autumn-winter 2017-18 we highlight a classical: grey. According to Pantone, “Neutral grey” is on point and we can seen in the awarded collection by Antonio Miro, who used it as one of the main colors.
