Custo Barcelona has kept faithful to its date with the 080 Barcelona Fashion and has presented the collection “Light Years Cruise” within the special program of the 080 Barcelona Fashion Nights. It’s a ready to buy collection for autumn winter 2017-18, which is a homage to individuality and that features shiny fabrics as the guiding thread. After the fashion show, the Sant Pau Art Nouvau Site has dressed up with the 080 Barcelona Fashion Anniversary Party by Zalando to celebrate the 20 editions of the Catalan catwalk.

The day of shows has started in the morning with Aubergin and their proposal “Essaouira” for next spring-summer 2018. The Moroccan culture, its colors and traditional architecture are the starting points of this collection that, besides including men and women looks, also presents unisex designs.

Afterwards, it’s been the turn of designer Pilar del Campo, who has presented “Nouveau” for next spring-summer. Inspired by the change in the arts that happened in the late 19th century and early 20th century, known by the name of Art Nouveau or Modernisme in the Catalan territory, it’s a urban line that gives importance to volumes, wavy forms and nature, like the art movement from which it takes the inspiration.
The newcomers Colmillo de Morsa have been the next ones on the 080 runway with “Preludes”. The starting point is writer George Sand and her winter stay in Mallorca, which translates into the use of natural fabrics, like cotton, linen and silk, and the introduction of navy stripes, embroideries and sheer in beautiful designs for both men and women.

Escorpion Studio Barcelona has closed the morning shows with “Wonderland”, their ready to buy proposal for autumn-winter 2018. The winner of last winter edition’s Modacc Award now presents a mystery tale for a woman that moves between two worlds, light and darkness. And she does so dressed in sheer combined with jacquards, tulle and unexpected fabrics in a wide color palette that goes from autumnal colors like écru, grey, black and green to brighter hues like orange, blue, red and yellow.
In the afternoon, we’ve witnessed the debut of yet another newcomer of this 20th edition: Maria Roch. The designer has presented “FW17” inspired by kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold and silver, which gives value to cracks and repairations. It’s an intimate collection in a shiny palette that also takes inspiration of the colours of antique Japanese drawings.

After her, Gema Sach has also made her debut on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway with “Eclipse”, her proposal for autumn-winter 2017-18. It’s a collection that wants to break the steorotypes in dressing without forgetting her signature style of quality and comfort through women designs that move in the duality of daytime and nighttime to offer a new style.
Brain & Beast has been the next one on the runway with “Trilogy, Vol. II / LABYRINTH”. It’s a reflection on melancholy and the need of memory through maximalist designs true to Angel Vilda’s brand style where he mixes technic fabrics, sporty designs, exagerated volumes and the usual impossible combinations of this unique brand.
