Dancer and choreographer Rafael Amargo has in been in charge of closing the second day of the 080 Barcelona Fashion 20th edition with the debut of his fashion brand Amoramargo, with which he has presented “Eclectic” within the 080 Barcelona Fashion Nights. It’s a collection for men, women and children that presents perfectly cut denim for daytime and sexy dresses and tailored jackets for nighttime in black, red, white and gold.

The Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, home to this 20th edition of the Catalan runway, has waken up this morning with the fashion show of LOA by Lidia Aguilera and the newcomers Mietis. “Myanmar” is the proposal by LOA for spring-summer 2018 inspired by the lover and muse of Pablo Neruda Josie Bliss. It’s a trip to the colonial Burma of 1928 through the use of silk jacquards, linen and cotton dyed in chic modernity thanks to the game of lengths and volumes with crop and extra long blouses, midi and maxi dresses, corsets and oversize designs in a fresh and elegant collection.

By her side, Mietis has presented “Cosmic Cinderella” also for spring-summer 2018. Designer Maria Fontanella makes her debut on the runway with a proposal that draws from the worlds of fantasy, cinema, futurism and motor and presents eclectic designs with touches of colour.

The next one on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway has been designer Pablo Erroz with his collection for men and women “Leave to live” for spring-summer 2018. It’s a change of tone for this creator that embarks in new style adventures with the use of bright colors and tropical and animal prints while he keeps his clean lines and the use of rich fabrics like leather, lamé and satin combined with others like denim and cotton.

Afterwards, the runway was welcomed another newcomer of this 20th edition: Javier Girón with his brand Jnorig. “Opposing worlds SS18” is the name of his proposal to dress men inspired by the merge of the Asian and North America culture of the years 600-1200 A.D. and present modern samurais and contemporary Indigenous warriors on the 080 catwalk.
To close the morning shows, Guillermina Baeza has presented “Journey to the sun” for spring-summer 2018. As it’s usual in the 080 Barcelona Fashion summer editions we’ve discovered her proposals in women swimwear, which on this occasion, make us travel to a virgin beach where delicate fabrics like suede, cotton voile, metallic touches, tulle and stretch stand out.

Lebor Gabala has been in charge to open the afternoon shows with her collection “Suddenly, summer” for spring-summer 2018. Crwator Maite Muñoz keeps true to her style and uses naturals fabrics like cotton, linen and silk georgette in women looks that play with layering and color combinations and where flowers make a statement.
After her, Txell Miras has presented “Rococont” for next spring-summer. The starting point is an updated rococó in terms of the use of rich and sumptuous fabrics, like jacquards, upholsteries and pleats that the designer combines with lycra, modal and neoprene for a line full of contrasts. Exagerated volumes are mixed with fitted designs, metallic zippers with baroque passamanterie and XXL pockets go with long silhouettes in a collection that presents a 100% contemporary rococó.

Designer Miriam Ponsa has been next on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway with “Las mujeres del Mar / The Sea Women”, with which the creator vindicates the femenine role in a sailors’ scenery. And she does so, true to her style, through organic and rounded forms that result in oversize designs. The usual craftmanship of her collections is now reflected on the hand-woven raffia that goes with other fabrics like ribbon and cord, which are a nod to the traditional nets and ropes of boats.
